The magic wand, after reading the instructions, makes scanning outside your normal environment as simple as riding a bike or walking down the street. I have found it a valuable tool for collecting data and storaging the data until I can transfer it to my main storage area.
Product works intermittently.
Cannot get problem resolved through Viewpoint Solutions people without having to go through a (company ???)technician that charges exhorbitant $$$$ for services. Very poor service !!!
Will never buy another Viewpoint Solutions product again nor recommend the company.
Unless I did something incorrect, i could never get mine to work. Plotting on returning and getting something else. Looks like reviews for IRIS express are a better choice.
I just got this yesterday. Simple to set up and use. Takes a small practice and seems to be more sensitive on high definition settings. It absolutely works. The best thing is the portability. If you are doing document research and taking notes you will like using this. It is a small tough using it on books but works better then taking handwritten notes on 3×5 cards. I know what to get my college age grandkids. I bought a Scandia 2G card for $12 at radio shack and don’t know yet if this is large enough for large projects but will find out. Clean small product!
I like this hand held scanner. I have a job that requires me to get copies of documents, & this scanner has a clear, crisp image I can down load into my computer & attach it as an e-mail. Simple to use, uses batteries so I don’t have to be tethered to a cord & outlet. The only issue I had, was a crease in the paper caused an error message on the scanner.
