The same day that this came in the mail, my wallet got stolen! Don’t buy this!
I ordered this product about 6 weeks ago for my small business. The order was taking too long, so I canceled it.
I then received 10 email messages cancelling, confirming, cancelling, confirming, confirming, confirming, again and again and again. They offered gift certificates, then they expired, then they offered new ones, then those expired. I emailed TWICE asking for the emails to stop–it was clogging my business line email. But THEN I received 3 more emails and 2 phone calls after I left a prior critical review on Amazon. They even questioned that, if I was satisfied with their customer service, I remove my prior critical review!!!
To date I’ve received 15 emails and 3 phone calls from this company, all over a single cancelled order. I will NEVER buy from this company. And if RitzCamera continues to email and call me, I will continue to post comments with their latest email/phone call numbers.
STOP harassing me Ritz Camera!
Perfect small printer for my needs. Silent, ink isn’t horribly expensive, works with windows vista
I finally got it to work…so I thought…
I selected the type of image it is and where to save it…and set it to use the scan button on laptop screen…
and guess what I get??? No picture…nothing…
Tell, me is there something else I need to do here?
The item was cheap and I didn’t plot to pay for it with all this STRESS
First the excellent:
I got my order in 2 or possibly 3 days, it was super quick! The scanner is gorgeous, cleverly designed, and hypothetically able to do wonderful things with images.
which brings us to the terrible – for me anyway: canon has pretty much no support for scanning in Linux. I realise it’s my fault for not checking to see what scanners are compatible first, but so much just works with linux with such minimal effort these days that I hadn’t even given it a second thought. It might work fantastic for some people, but if you’re plotting on using it with linux, abandon all hope, or better yet, hack up some code to make it work!
